Breaking free from the matrix is first and foremost an inside job
The matrix, the system, the structures we all are born into and take for granted are wanting our best only, is actually in place to take away our power.
The word ‘the matrix’ originates from the word ‘mother’ in latin. And there is nothing wrong with having a mother as long as you are a baby or a child who needs to be supervised and protected. But when you step into adulthood you want the freedom to explore who you are and make your own decisions about things. This adolescence state is where we are at as humanity right now.
We are starting to wake up to the fact that maybe ‘our mother’ doesn’t always know best.
And when it comes to the Western societies it’s quite a narcissistic mother, we talk about. She wants us to do well but only as long as we give her all our love and affection. She wants full obedience and control of our every little move. If we start to go our ways, she gets mad.
After moving to Guatemala it has been very apparent to me how scared we are of ‘the mother’ in Western Societies. No wonder! We have been taken away from our own mothers since we were born, and the family unit is getting less and less sovereignty to make its own decisions about how to live. ‘The state’ can remove your children for all different kinds of reasons. In Sweden we have gotten several notices that our kids were not coming enough to school and that it had to be reported - simply because we let them stay home when they needed a day off. We talk about healthy, happy, clever kids with absolutely no problems other that a lack of obedience. In Guatemala it’s different. Here the government doesn’t interfere with each family’s way of doing things, schools are available but not mandatory, and the family units are very strong. Traditional skills like cooking and weaving are passed down from mother to daughter, and the families stay in their village. The Mayan people insist on many things, that we have long lost in the west - like paying cash, keeping their money out of the banks and not having their land registered by the government. They don’t trust the government nor the banks - and this is not strange since the government was established by the European conquerors back in the 1600’s. The Mayan was and is a very proud and skilled people. Before the Europeans came they were also very rich, as their land is abundant with everything a human being needs to thrive.
After just being here for a very short while, I’m blown away by the way the Mayans - at least here in the countryside - just don’t accept and obey to the Western ways. I find it super inspiring.
No wonder spirit called me back to these lands. I feel so at home here. Free and much more truly secure than anywhere else I have ever lived.
So, back to the matrix - how do we get out?
Of course it’s both an inner and an outer journey to ‘escape’ the system, but it has to start inside.
It starts the day you get enough.
The day you say NO MORE will I take being taken advantage of.
No more will I accept the stories I have been told since I was a child of what makes me succesful and a good citizen - when so obviously it makes me sick and unhappy.
I will not accept paying double the price of what food is worth, just because ‘the market’ sets the price.
I will not accept paying millions of dollars for just having a place to live. I’m a human being, the planet was created for me to live on. No-one has the right to make money on just me existing.
I will not accept paying for water.
I will not at accept having the air that I breathe poisoned for money.
I will not accept corporations destroying what is mine - the soil that gives me plants to eat and the oceans that give me fish. It’s mine, my birthright, and I demand that the damaging ways of handling my possessions need to be stopped RIGHT AWAY!
I will not accept the banks offering me loans that make them able to take away my freedom for the rest of my life. It is criminal what they do. I will rather just stop paying what they say I owe them and figure out another way to live in true freedom.
I will not accept any authority outside of my family system to have any say-so over how my family do things. I will not be told how to give birth, what my kids need to learn or do during their days and what kind of vaccinations they need.
In general, I do not accept any kind of control over what I put into mine or my kids body.
I don’t acknowledge that I’m not free to travel or settle anywhere in the world I want, as long as I don’t do harm.
I don’t accept paying taxes to a system I don’t believe in. I don’t want whatever is gained from my creative life-force energy to be channeled into wars, agricultural support to maintain the damaging food production that destroys our planet or a hospital system that keep us sick and medicated. I don’t want to support a school system that makes our kids into consumers and slaves of the production apparatus.
I want a totally different World.
A World where everyone thrives and is seen as capable of making their own decisions. And I’m taking my power back NOW!
Once these words become your truth, you start finding ways to take your power back. It’s super difficult and scary. It will push your limits, and there will be times when you don’t think you will make it. So many times you will ask yourself, is it really worth it?
And my answer is - yes, it’s worth it and there is not other way. The only way out is through.
